Evolution is recruiting for an exciting mine life extension of our Cowal Gold Operation.  The extension will enable continued operations at the existing mine to add an additional 8 years of operations and an additional 1.7 million ounces of gold production.  Cowal is a first class open cut mining operation, approximately 45kms from the town of West Wyalong and 450km west of Sydney.  It is centrally located to a number of large regional towns and facilities.

The role?

Reporting to the Leading Hand you will be responsible for mining plant equipment servicing, breakdowns and preventative maintenance.  You will liaise and assist other maintenance staff to ensure all prescribed duties are performed safely and efficiently. 

• Ensure assigned work is completed in a safe & timely manner
• Complete assigned work in a safe & timely manner
• Complete necessary paperwork & computer history notes for work orders daily
• Participate in fault finding and failure diagnosis as required
• Ensure workmanship is maintained to a high standard in accordance with trade competencies and established in work procedures
• Actively participate in condition monitoring & business improvement programs
• Communicate with your Leading Hand to ensure all appropriate tooling and equipment is available to efficiently execute your work
• Ensure any incomplete work is well communicated to the next shift at hand over
• Assist other trades with their work when required
• Strive to meet department KPI’s & equipment availability targets
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values and Safety Principles

Are you the one?

• Relevant trade qualifications are essential
• Previous experience in mobile equipment maintenance is essential
• Previous experience in maintenance of heavy mining equipment is desirable
• Excellent communication skills
