We are currently seeking experienced and professional Security Officers to work as part of our university portfolio in the Eastern Suburbs.
About the role:
The position is responsible for conducting foot patrols over large campuses in all weather conditions and to provide excellent customer service by informing, directing and escorting students, staff and the general public. The successful incumbent must be available to work 24/7 on a rotating roster on a full time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct foot patrols of campuses mostly outdoors
- Escort people around the campus
- Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required
- Direct and help people to navigate around the campus
- Write reports in response to incidents
- Communicate calmly and clearly with key stakeholders
- Provide excellent customer service
- Crowd controlling
Essential attributes:
- Physically fit and able to walk and stand extensively for prolonged periods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, approachable and able to build rapport with different types of people
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Customer focused
- Strong awareness of surroundings
- Initiative and drive
- Mature-minded
Required qualifications and licences:
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Current Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
- Current drivers license
- Working with Children Check
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
