We are currently seeking experienced and trade qualified Fitter & Turners to work out of a state of the art, brand new workshop in Moorebank in Sydney for a large multi national company.
Working hours are casually on-going with 38 hours per week and are 7am - 3.45pm Monday - Thursday and 7am-12pm Friday with no weekend work! This role starts out on a casual basis and will lead to permanency after 3 months for the right candidates provided you are reliable, hard working and a good fit for the team. Pay is very competitive and dependant on experience.
You will be performing maintenance, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance; undertake major overhauls and authorised modifications to vehicles, plant and defence equipment. Also ensuring that technical procedures and Inspection and Test Plans are performed in accordance with QA requirements. This role involves working on a diverse range of equipment-from hoses to washing machines, dishwashers and large army plant and equipment. Please only apply if you are happy with this.
What you can expect daily:
•Maintenance works to be carried out on a wide range of army equipment - large and small
•Carry out service tasks on equipment during routine maintenance
•Replace or repair damaged and malfunctioning parts following inspection
•Effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature on a wide range of vehicles
•Adhere to all regulatory and contract specific requirements and work as part of a team
Skills and Experience:
•Be a trade qualified Fitter & Turner
•Must have or willing to get an AFP check
•Hold a current Australian State or Territory open driver's licence for Medium Rigid (MR)
•You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance
