We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Technician to ensure the electrical and control systems are maintained in a safe, effective and efficient operating state by identifying any areas on non-conformance to electrical standards and/or specified operating conditions. 

The purpose of this role is to maintain the current systems through corrective actions arising from breakdowns and supporting the implementation of upgrades and system changes along with implementing continuous improvement activities aimed at process improvement and production efficiency.

Key responsibilities
Reliability Electrical Support

• Identify corrective actions arising from technical breakdowns
• Identify root cause and contribute ideas to improve machine/equipment reliability
• Work with production to provide improved performance
• Prioritise breakdowns 
• Identify gaps in training needs and develop training plans to ensure workforce maintains the relevant skill sets

Teamwork

• Build and maintain a working team environment with production and Maintenance teams
• Work with Site project engineering on project support requirements

Safety

• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Ensure good manufacturing practice is followed at all times
• Support companies policies and procedures and site rules

Reliability Maintenance

• Ensure that all electrical PM’s are in place, effective and actioned
• Respond to resolve actions arising from audits and external servicing
• Provide fault finding support on complex control systems
• Support technology replacement strategies
• Ensure Electrical standards are maintained
• Contribute to the Site KPI’s in reducing Technical downtime and completing Preventative Maintenance schedules for compliance

Planning

• Liaise and prioritise breakdown with electrical team 
• Perform machine setting activities in support of production operations. Execute preventative work orders assigned in accordance with the preventative maintenance plan.
• Perform routine inspection and testing. 
• Identify defects found during inspections and correct as necessary. 
• Provide feedback to electrical team

Required Skills & Experience

• Certificate 3 in Electro technology (Electrical trade qualified)
• Experience in the FMCG/Dairy Industry for 3+ years
• High voltage, Hazardous area wiring and Instrumentation all preferred, but not essential
• Prioritisation, time management and workload planning skills
• Experience in SAP computer maintenance management systems
• PMs (preventative maintenance) and CI (continuous improvement) experience
• Allen Bradley PLC programming knowledge and robotic automation
• Experience with Control Systems, PC and Network management
• Knowledge of OH&S principles
• Ability to lead and supervise people

The successful candidate will also have good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
