BTP in Mackay are seeking multiple experienced and trade qualified Component Rebuild Mechanics to join our great SX crew. With a growing work load we are looking for proactive, steadfast people to join the team.
Our component room is fully equipped with networked computers, 3.5 tonne overhead cranes, component overhaul tables, ample parts shelves, tooling cupboards and plenty of extra room. Combine that with our range of specialised rebuild tooling and overhaul documentation, BTP Parts is an industry leader and a place to be if overhauling heavy earthmoving componentry is your forte.
Applicants must be based in or around the Mackay area.
General skills, experience and knowledge required:
- Automotive or Engineering Trade certificate with component rebuild experience on primarily Caterpillar equipment essential
- Rebuild experience on one or more of the following essential: Transmissions, torque converters, diffs and final drives, wheel groups
- Competent computer skills and knowledge of Caterpillar SIS
- Good written and oral communication with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation.
- A healthy respect for the company and fellow employees
- Knowledge and the application of OH&S in the workplace
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Dogging and Rigging tickets an advantage but not essential
