We are currently seeking experienced Trades Assistants / General Hands / Assemblers with strong Mechanical Assembly Skills to service a number of our clients throughout Melbourne.
Our clients include a number of well-respected firms in General Engineering and Manufacturing fields throughout Melbourne. The roles will involve working as an integral part of a team on large sites assembling flat packs involving steel frames, welding, forklift operation, use of a variety of hand and power tools, general labouring work, cleaning, housekeeping and other duties as required.
To be successful in these positions, you will be expected to possess:
- Solid experience in a Trades Assistant or General Hand or a similar role with good mechanical skills
- A strong mechanical aptitude with strong hand-eye coordination
- The ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- The ability to work in a team-based environment and have an excellent ‘can do’ attitude
- Flexibility and availability to work full-time hours Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM including overtime
- Your own reliable transport including a valid driver's licence
- Your own personal protective equipment (PPE) including Steel Cap Boots and a High Visibility Vest
- Welding and fabrication experience will be looked upon favourably
- A current White Card and a Forklift licence will be looked upon favourably
