Join the Followmont Transport Workshop in an exciting growth period under a newly created leadership team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be part of a passionate and fast paced environment focused on safely servicing all Followmont’s vehicles. This full time opportunity will suit an experienced mechanic who is naturally gifted with repairs and maintenance, someone that is professional and hardworking.

We’re looking for a person with:

Key skills, experience & responsibility:

  • Hold a certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanics
  • Service fleet to a safe and high standard (including breakdowns, servicing and repairs)
  • Complete all required paperwork (i.e. fault reports in an accurate and timely manner)
  • Current heavy vehicle licence and forklift licence with proven experience working with heavy vehicles is desirable (i.e. prime movers, trailers, body trucks and forklifts)
  • Support the Workshop team and comply with all WHS quality standards
  • Be a self-starter with great time management skills
  • Detect electrical faults and diagnose problems with all types of plant and equipment
  • Assist with breakdowns and calls outs when required
  • Undertake general housekeeping duties and assisting with
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with robust ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
