Position:
Working within a small team of passionate conservationists, this role is ideal for people with previous experience & qualifications in Land Conservation. Projects are located between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, so some travel may be required to sites. You will enjoy working with a team of people who love what they do and are looking for people who have a genuine interest in the industry.

This employment opportunity will allow the successful applicant to demonstrate their practical skills and experience across a broad scope of conservation and land management projects.

Selection Criteria

• Experience in identification of native and introduced plants in Southeast Queensland
• Interest in the operation and maintenance of vehicles, tractors, implements, pumps, hand tools and small engine powered equipment
• Interest in land management activities such as weed and erosion control, fencing, track construction, landscaping, equipment operation and/or re-vegetation

Duties may include:

• Planting native plants
• Plant Identification
• Weed Control
• Brush Cutting
• Turf laying
• Heavy Lifting
• General Labour

Required Experience & Tickets:

• Certificate 3 in Conservation & Land Management / Horticulture / Parks & Gardens
• White Card
• ACDC - Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control - Weed Spraying Ticket
• Chainsaw operators certificate
• Manual Drivers Licence (or MR Licence)
• First Aid

As an ongoing temp role, there is the possibility for a permanent role for the qualified applicant who shows initiative in the initial 3 month period.
