Our client is a market leader in the design and manufacture of modular flooring solutions including modular carpet systems. Based in Minto, an opportunity currently exists for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their established Maintenance Team.
Fundamentally you will be responsible all facets of operations on the site including plant and equipment, and ancillary services including security, cleaning, waste disposal, forklift maintenance and building / site maintenance.
Your duties will include, but not limited to;
• Providing co-ordination of all maintenance to factory plant and equipment to maximize reliability.
• Ensuring the maintenance team has the required labour, materials and technical information.
• Oversee and supervise the physical maintenance and repair of all operating site equipment.
• Report accurately to management on reasons for failure and suggest modifications to design and/or system if required.
• Actively promote all aspects of safety and contribute to plant safety improvements & OH&S.
• Attendance at Daily Production Meeting.
• Supervision of direct reports and on-site contractors.
• Training and development of new and existing employees.
• Develop & monitor maintenance system including corrective & preventative maintenance, equipment spares, stores & purchasing and reporting.
• Manage databases and organise certification of items as per relevant Australian Standards.
Your Experience;
• You will have completed a recognised trades course and an apprenticeship of 4 years’ duration.
• Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Trade) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a qualified industrial electrician or in industrial fitting, machining and fabrication or similar trade by hands on training under supervision.
• Minimum 3 Years’ experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Understanding of work, health and safety
• Understanding of maintenance systems
• People management
