Your new role
Working in a team environment you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all vehicles and associate equipment either run by petrol, diesel or gas.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Test drive and operate trucks and equipment
- Maintenance of all aspects of vehicles and equipment;
- Lubrication, greasing and oil changes, dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components and checking parts
- Scheduled preventative maintenance services and fault diagnostics
- Action driver daily vehicle reports
Skills and experience
To be successful for this position you will be a qualified with the following skills and experience:
- HR licence
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or;
- A Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical - Heavy Vehicle
- Waste industry experience is highly regarded
- Experience working with heavy vehicles or heavy plant equipment
- Ability to work in a team environment
