With a focus on the beautification of Blacktown City, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled gardener to assist our Maintenance Crews. In this permanent full time position, you will be involved in the maintenance of garden areas, public open space areas, roadways, verges and landscape improvement works.
You must have a Certificate III Horticulture or equivalent or indentured Apprenticeship as a Gardener, extensive experience in garden and landscape maintenance, Chemical Application Accreditation and Driver’s Licence. An MR Driver’s Licence, Traffic Controller Implementation Accreditation and First Aid Certificate would be advantageous.
Blacktown City is committed to safety. We have introduced alcohol and other drug testing at the pre-employment phase, and via a series of random tests, tests where there may be reasonable suspicion and / or post reportable incident testing for Council workers.
Salary Range: $1,051.30 - $1,177.50 (Grade 6) per week, 76 hour fortnight with RDO, leave entitlements, 9.5% employer superannuation contribution, gym membership discounts and more.
