About the business and the role
We are a well-established plumbing and drainage company based in the eastern suburbs, specialising in new homes, apartments and maintenance. Our clients come back to us time and time again because we are so easy to work with they trust us to complete their plumbing work to the highest of standards, on time on budget and with no fuss. As a result of sustained growth we are looking for a suitably qualified plumber with a minimum of 6 years' experience in domestic and commercial plumbing to join us. We require a well-presented person who can work autonomously, has excellent communication and organisation skills, and has a "can do" work ethic.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As a qualified plumber, you will be able to work as part of a team or by yourself and be highly competent in working on all aspects of domestic and commercial plumbing and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be able to manage projects successfully and capable of thinking laterally with strong attention to detail. We have developed strong working partnerships with a number of great builders and need the right person to represent the company and help us expand. The successful candidate must be able to communicate efficiently and professionally with builders, clients, other contractors and staff to ensure that projects are completely safely, on target, in budget and with no fuss.
Skills and experience
We are looking for a highly motivated plumber who can accurately read and interpret plans, commit to schedules, and supervise apprentices if needed.
You are required to provide the highest quality workmanship, have immaculate presentation, excellent communication skills and be friendly and personable to our valued clients.
Your communication skills must include an ability to provide clear concise explanation of works to clients, well written reporting to management and professional interaction with your colleagues.
You must be a registered plumber with experience, in domestic and commercial projects, including drainage, gas, and general plumbing
Current Drivers Licence, own vehicle and tools are essential.
Experience on excavators is advantageous
