We have this great role with one of Australia’s largest suppliers of suspension related products to the motor vehicle aftermarket, with growing operations in the USA, UK and Asia.
The range of products include;
- Suspension Bushings
- Swaybars and link assemblies
- Control arms (Engineered overseas)
- Panhard rods
- Alignment Correction products
As new vehicles continue to hit the Australian market this role is responsible to initiate development of standard and performance steering and suspension components.
The successful candidates will have an extensive knowledge of the engineering and fitting of suspensions. You will have experience in modifications to ensure the best performance of quality products.
You will be competent in the following:
- Operation of automotive hoists
- Wheel alignment equipment
- Simple welding equipment
- Oxy heating equipment
- Removal and installation of suspension components
- Hydraulic presses
- Road tests and track day attendance
Other areas of activity you would need experience in or the passion to learn are:
- Solid works / Auto cad / Inventor drawing packages to produce simple bushing drawings to allow tooling development and prototypes to be manufactured
- Setup and operate bushing test rig
- Electronic development documentation
- System to routinely report development progress by project item.
If you have been repairing and installing standard and performance steering and suspension components for 5 – 10 years and believe you have the skills, or have already moved into product development, then this role may be perfect for you.
