The role

The Product Support Advisor is to provide technical support, coaching and mentoring to the client’s maintenance department in maintaining the Rhino equipment. This role will also be assisting with continuous improvement linking Sandvik support directly to the client.  The role will also be involved in planning the performance and integrity of the equipment at the lowest practical cost.

The Product Support Advisor represents Sandvik and as such will assist in liaising between Sandvik and the customer and gathering performance data of Sandvik equipment for evaluation and historical references.

This role is FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 roster.

Areas of responsibility

  • Recommending site specific maintenance strategies or recommended maintenance practices.
  • Monitor onsite equipment performance (KPI’s) identifying deficiencies or the potential for improvement and communicate any recommended action(s) to the customers’ representatives.
  • Assist the Customer in analysis for equipment failures using the customer’s failure analysis tools and data, and recommend/discuss corrective actions with the site Maintenance department.
  • Attend and participate (in an advisory capacity) at equipment services and major component replacement.
  • Assist planners to develop preventative maintenance plans.
  • Sign off on agreed weekly availability statistics

Your profile

You will be highly committed to safety with a diesel fitting trade qualification.  Previous experience maintaining Raise Bore or John Deere equipment is highly desirable.  You will need a strong background in working on client sites and maintenance planning.  Strong leadership skills are essential with the ability to coach, mentor and share knowledge.
