An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified electrical tradesperson to join Australian Paper at our Preston factory.
The successful applicant must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- An electrical trade qualification with an 'A Grade' electricians licence
- Trade experience in maintaining, installing and repairing a wide variety of electrical industrial equipment
- Ability to carry out shift work
- Proven safety record
- Physically fit
Have or be prepared to undertake training to obtain:
- Fork Truck and Car License
- Previous experience in heavy industry
- Experience with auxiliary equipment
Other desirable prerequisites include:
- PLC experience
- Elevated work platform license
- An understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
The successful applicant must be a self-starter and motivated team player. Having excellent communication skills and a high regard for health and safety is also imperative.
As part of the selection process candidates will be required to take part in a range of abilities testing including Following Instructions, Mechanical Comprehension and Fault Finding.
