K&S Freighters have been operating for over 60 years providing transport and logistics solutions within Australian & New Zealand. We currently have position available for an experienced Leading Hand with Heavy Vehicle experience to join our K & S site in Enfield.
As a Leading Hand Heavy Vehicle Mechanic you will be responsible for:
- Able to perform quality mechanical servicing and maintenance and/or repairs of vehicles
- Able to oversee all mechanical responsibilities in the workshop
- Diagnose any faults on vehicles and carry out the appropriate procedures to correct the problem
- Able to ensure job records are accurate and up to date
- Available for overtime as required by the business
- Able to ensure strong commitment to compliance, WHS&E and general business practices
The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to:
- Provide a current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate or equivalent
- A current HR drivers licence or higher preferred not essential
- A current forklift license preferred not essential
- Experience as a Foreman or Leading Hand Mechanic or have had the opportunity to step in this role from time to time in past employment
- Ability to work as part of a team and also lead a team
- Experience and knowledge working with maintenance and fleet trucks
- Able to provide exceptional communication and time management skills
