Role
Our client, an iconic market leader, specialising in packaging and waste management, is looking to appoint a self-motivated, proactive and dynamic Afternoon Shift Maintenance Fitter to support their Gold Coast waste site. You will possess the necessary ability to take initiative, be incredibly proactive with the ability to think on your feet, provide excellent leadership, direction and support to deliver results. Seasoned in production equipment, you are accustomed to fault finding, plant maintenance within a high speed manufacturing production environment including either FMCG or Food & Bev.
You will be:
- Well versed in production and have a deep understanding of a manufacturing environment
- A forward thinker, having the ability to plan, organise, train and mentor production personnel
- Proactive and solution driven- you will focus on preventative maintenance
To Be Successful
To be successful in this role, you will have had experience within either a waste/recycling and or process manufacturing environment. As a self-motivated, extremely adaptable and outstanding communicator you are very analytical and can multi-task and prioritise. Reporting to the Site Supervisor & Manager, you will be comfortable working with various levels of personnel. You will also have the below factors:
- High level of mechanical aptitude - be trade qualified
- Excellent problem solving skills and be service oriented - Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, fittings and equipment to ensure continued service and operation.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and general repairs, as defined in our Quality Assurance processe
- Machine breakdowns and ensuring equipment operates in its most efficient condition.
- Maintain high levels of operator safety and communication, compliance with all WH&S requirements
- Excellent time management
- Knowledgeable in SAP Kronos, Microsoft Office
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Flexible approach and adaptable to change
- A team player witht he ability to build excellent relationships
