Applicants will be prepared to begin work July 2018.
Electricians typically do the following:
- Read Plans or Electrical diagrams before doing work
- Install and maintain wiring and lighting systems
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
- Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the Local Supply Authorities Code
- Apply Work Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
- Install appliances, switchgear and associated accessories for low voltage electrical installations
- Verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations
- Fill in timesheets & Job Cards correctly and on time
- A commitment to undertake and complete formal training at TAFE (Is a Must for Apprentices)

- The ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge in all Facets of Electrical Work and a firm commitment to safe work practices
- Experience in Domestic & New Residential homes, Commercial/Industrial fitouts and Development Sites (Varies within Roles)
- Complete understanding & Commitments to WHS
- Willingness to work additional hours
