About the Role
Applications are invited from suitably experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / Fitters to work within BGC Asphalt’s Maintenance team based in Hazelmere.
The role reports to the Mobile Plant Manager, key accountabilities and job requirements include:
- Repair and maintain all mobile plant
- General boilermaker duties including grinding, cutting (friction and gas cutting), welding (GMAW, TIG, Stick), cleaning, adjusting and maintaining equipment
- Daily pre-start inspections
- Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements
- Adhering to all quality control procedures
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Electrical experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of weldability of steels, wear plate and other exotic steels
- Understanding of Department of Mines and Petroleum Regulations would be highly regarded
- A current driver’s licence
