The Company
Based in Derrimut in this new and purposely built facility this Hydraulics based company that provides clients with a quality service and customer focus that is unmatched by its competitors in the hydraulics sales and service industry seeks an experienced Fitter with Hydraulics experience to take ownership of their position and provide comprehensive repairs, component testing and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders, pumps and valving.
The Role
An experienced Hydraulics Fitter with experience and skills in a similar position is required to take ownership of their duties within this busy workshop and be able to see a task through till completion. Experience with earthmoving equipment will be advantageous but not essential. Predominately positions on offer are Workshop based, we are also seeking Mobile Technicians.
The position will include and is not limited to:
- Stripping and assessment of hydraulic cylinders
- Assembly of hydraulic cylinders
- Hydraulic repairs and services
- Pump and motor repairs
- General housekeeping of work station
The Candidate
Must be able to work well with others, be a team player and have good diagnostic ability as well as:
- Have a broad range of fitting experience, i.e. machinery, trucks, and process machines etc
- Be a Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter with an understanding of hydraulic systems
- Lathe Experience
- Basic welding experience
- Can identify OH&S issues and rectify or make safe
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Have a Fitter & Turner (Mechanical Engineering Trade)
- Have a relevant certificate or proven work experience
- Strong customer focus and safety culture
- A keen eye for detail
- Motivated, self-starter, team player
- Produce Quality work and have a high degree of mechanical aptitude
