Griffith University is one of Australia's largest Universities, operating on 5 campuses from Brisbane's CBD to the Gold Coast. We are research intensive, inclusive, innovative, progressive, deeply engaged in the Asia-pacific region, and absolutely committed to ensuring we contribute to society through research that provides social dividends.

Griffith's teaching and research portfolio is supported by a range of diverse and complex buildings and supporting services, which bring various challenges to the management team. These buildings and services are managed by Campus Life, Griffith University's Facilities Management and Campus Services provider.

The Opportunity
Do you have a strong track record in managing diverse teams who provide student/community amenities? Do you create value through the development and evaluation of tenders and the management of contracts? Can you drive operational results across a complex organisation working with in-house teams, external consultants and contractors while contributing to the organisation's long term strategic goals?

You may be an ideal fit for the position of Associate Director, Campus Services - one of the key portfolios within Campus Life, and responsible for Food and Retail, Sport and Recreation and Griffith Accommodation.

You will be responsible for creating and delivering services and amenities on campus providing an excellent student and staff experience and increasing engagement and participation and use of the University's facilities by the University and local community. You will be responsible for the commercial management of all Campus Life contracts and tenancies. Through your operational expertise, strategic advice and forward thinking, and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders you will lead the continued development of a unified Campus Services division and drive innovation through alignment with the University's long term strategic goals.

This is a full time, fixed term (five years) role based at the Nathan campus.

The Person
This is a brilliant role for a forward thinking, innovative professional who has a passion for delivering world class services and amenities. As this role is a pivotal and senior role, you will have a strong track record in leading and managing professional staff. You will have proven experience, in the public or private sector, in consulting, contract negotiation and development, property management and commercial leasing as well as experience in managing a wide range of student/community services (for example, Food and Retail, Student Accommodation, Sport and Recreation). You might have previous experience in a tertiary setting or your experience may be in other commercial settings such as large shopping centres, airports or hospitals.

Salary Range
A competitive and attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant for this five-year contract.
