A unique opportunity exist for an Digital Press Operator who wants to work in a press room using state of the art infrastructure, unique to Australia. As a business we are looking for that special individual who has the necessary core skills that we can confidently invest in their training for a long-term career within our business. You'll be supporting the Prima Finishing Managers to schedule output on our fleet of presses to ensure all production lines run at maximum efficiency.

Our facility is the highest output site for Ricoh in ANZ. If you have experience working with large print volumes on 9110's or 9100's we would love to speak to you.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring our fleet of Presses operate at their maximum output by performing all expected calibrations
• Releasing work to our Presses by following print sequence plans
• Executing preventative maintenance exercises
• Fault finding and resolving Press issues
• Working with Service Providers who may perform more detailed break/fix
• Working with Management to comply with all Procurement guidelines
• Proactively looking for ways to improve our quality, throughput and consistency

Skills and experience

Ideally your experience will include some of the following:

• Operating a Digital Press such as an Indigo 5-7000 series or Ricoh Pro C5-7-9100 series or iGen Series 3 or 4
• Maintaining Digital Presses
• Printing massive volumes of short run output consistently

To be considered you must

• have operated a digital press in a professional capacity in the last 3 years
• have full work rights in Australia
• be able to work unsupervised
• be able to travel interstate and/or overseas for training
• demonstrate a willingness to adopt and learn best practices
• demonstrate an ability to think, analyze and follow instructions consistently
• be able to communicate with management
• provide references that can verify your experience
• if you are certified on certain presses provide the certification in the interview
