This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful and growing business that specialises in truck body/ trailer manufacturing and engineering.
Based in Laverton North area they supply various industries around Australia and have established themselves as a well-regarded company in their industry.
They have 2 positions available for a trades person to various duties and work such as service and assembly work on trucks/tankers. You will be doing trailer fit-up work, which includes but is not limited to ladders, handrails, drain tubes and other general fit-up work, undertake Hydro-static tests for all new product; Cleaning & appraising new equipment as required
You will also get involved in some general fabrication work and general fitting type work too. Experience in Mig (and Tig) welding of aluminium - preferred not mandatory, You will also be working from engineering drawings. Experienced in pressure testing of pipes and pneumatic & electrical wire-up knowledge would be really good.
You will also get involved in suspension and brake work, truck chassis work gearbox and pumps, toolboxes and mudguards plus other duties based on your skills.
This is an exciting role for trades persons who have a can do attitude and is good with their hands and wants to join a growing and successful company.
The ideal person must have:
- Trade qualifications.
- Suspension & Brake exp ideal
- Truck or Trailer industry experience ideal.
- Pneumatic and electrical wire up knowledge ideal.
- Excellent communication skills.
- MIG & TIG welding of Aluminium also ideal
- Experience in reading and working from drawings
- Experienced in pressure testing of pipes also ideal
