We have a plastering apprenticeship within the Newcastle area available.
Our company services all of newcastle/huntervalley/ central coast/port stephens etc
We have a wide range of projects on at all times varying from office Fitouts, framing partitions and suspended ceilings to plastering commercial buildings ie; childcares, commercial offices, factories etc. We also do higher end residential plastering along the coastline of newcastle. Theres always variation in what we do and makes for a great apprenticeship learning all facades of wall and ceiling linings!
The correct applicant for the position must have these items and attributes;

- Own vehicle-or be able to be transported.

Day to day activities will include working alongside skilled tradesmen , setting up tools and equipment for different jobs throughout the day, listening and taking instructions and carrying out jobs that are required by tradesmen,cleaning up after yourself, using power tools and gas actuated fixing guns etc. Being aware of PPE with each individual task, being a team player and working with teams to complete tasks to deadlines / goals set for the day/week/month. erecting scaffold, packing tools away in designated spots. cutting steel,timber ,framing walls, installing insulation, pinning plaster or fibrous board to frames and ceilings, setting and sanding off set joints with machines, installing aluminium skirting and door jambs , hanging doors, fitting hardware.
This apprenticeship is a 4 yr term, your salary progress's as you progress through each technical stage of the apprenticeship. It is possible to complete the apprenticeship in 3.5 years if a quick learner.
