About the Role

Manage and coordinate the operations and contractors at Princess Alexandra Hospital as required to ensure effective and efficient services are provided. Manage the Central Energy Unit (CEU) infrastructure including steam reticulation, Air-Conditioning, hydraulic services, chillers, boilers, water treatment, construction and maintenance of specialised equipment. Ensure all Plant and Equipment under the control of the position is maintained in accordance with statutory requirements. Contribute to the operation of CMMS for the Central Energy Unit.  

  • Manage and coordinate the CEU services at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Queensland Health policies.
  • Manage the allocation of work and work flow within CEU prioritising workloads, annual testing of equipment ensuring that all work is carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Manage the maintenance, servicing and inspection ensuring best practice standards and workmanship is maintained, showing initiatives and keeping abreast with current changes and trends within the industry.
  • Develop operational plans and strategies for the CEU, in line with Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Business Plans.
