We are looking for an experienced Welder / Metal Fabricator / Parts Assembly Worker to join our fast paced and continuous improvement and maintenance department.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to make some real impact by bringing a wealth of experience for a wide variety of problem solving challenges.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Metal Fabrication and repair maintenance of production modules
- General maintenance of manufacturing plant & equipment
- Assisting in prototyping and experimental projects to enhance our continuous improvement programs
- Competent at reading drawings
- Problem solver with a can do attitude
- Committed to quality assurance and working in a team environment
- Willing to travel interstate or internationally for equipment installation and commissioning
Skills and experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in TIG welding, MIG welding, Fabrication work and parts assembly.
- Minimum two years’ TIG and MIG welding experience with 304 and or 316 grade stainless steel and a good understanding of welding to sanitary standards.
- Knowledge and experience working with manufacturing equipment (plasma cutter, band saw, lathe, milling and drilling machine, sheet sheering machine, brake pressing machine).
- Competent at reading drawings.
- Knowledge of the tools, consumables, and techniques for sanitary finishes.
- Welding and fabricating experience with industrial food processing equipment and experience in finishing stainless steel for food-grade applications desired but not essential.
- Ability to design with the Autodesk inventor program basic 3D Parts components and to convert them to IDW, DXF, IGS and STEP files desired but not essential.
- Experience with installation of industrial processing equipment desired but not essential.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, a can do attitude and a flare for problem solving.
