That reputation has underpinned their ongoing growth over many years and together with industry expansion has created this new role for a Signmaker/Builder - Leading Hand in their Derrimut based team. They offer a work environment centered on teamwork with a team player approach.

Role
The role is an important component of the Project team. It reports to the Works Supervisor and has two major functions. One involves working hands-on with sign construction in the factory, the other is providing leadership of an onsite team of 10 people in the construction and installation of the complete range of the company’s projects.

Other tasks include:

• Assisting with the onsite, practical elements of project planning
• Working at heights with cranes, EWP’s etc
• Ensuring the optimum delivery of safety, quality and efficiency.

Candidate
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in the construction industry and hold a relevant trade qualification That experience will have equipped you with the ability to read/interpret drawings and should also include working at heights with cranes and EWP, as well as a minimum of 3 years as a Team Leader in charge of skilled and unskilled tradespeople. If your background includes Sign Industry experience it will be an advantage to your application.

Other skills that although not mandatory, would be well regarded include:

• Rigger/and/or Dogman experience
• The ability to prepare a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS)
• OH&S training - possibly Cert IV

• A focus on safety in all situations

A current construction induction card, (white card) is a prerequisite.

Remuneration
The hourly rate on offer is very market competitive. Overtime is available at standard penalty rates and you will have the use of a company vehicle during business hours.
