About the role:
The Community Patrol Coordinator is responsible for administration and reporting tasks, working with Council and community members to increase awareness of the Community Patrol initiative.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Certificate III in Community Night Patrol or willingness to obtain.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and community environments with demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal people in an outreach capacity or patrol environment.
- Proven experience understanding problems associated with alcohol and violence and a commitment to the concept of Aboriginal self determination.
- Excellent planning and time management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities within the broader community and be able to provide practical hands on and diverse administrative and financial experience.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and/or mediation.
- Proven ability to maintain organisational documents with attention to detail and accuracy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computerised accounting functions.
It would be desirable if you also possessed:
- Qualification or previous experience working in an Administrator or Coordinator role.
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety Policy within the broader work environment.
- Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake course.
What you'll get in return:
A Full Time Fixed Term (2 years) contract receiving a salary of $58,758.83 plus superannuation. You will benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading. Your subsidised accommodation is based in Angurugu and you can expect to pay $75 per week. Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful applicant.
