Australian Rail Track Corporation, a major national organisation, is responsible for managing infrastructure maintenance, capital upgrades and the movement of trains on interstate railway track across South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland, as well as the Hunter Valley Coal Rail Network.   If you are looking for a secure job that offers the sense of achievement you only get from worthwhile projects that really add value, then look no further.  You will ensure the safe delivery of maintenance projects to ARTC standards on time and on budget by planning, monitoring, evaluating and following through on the works being undertaken.

About the role
The role is a permanent, full time Project Team Leader position in our Corridor Works team. The project portfolio includes the delivery of track formation reconditionings, cutting and embankment stabilisation, and level crossing upgrade and maintenance projects. The total program value in FY18 is $17million.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and capabilities: 
  • Strong safety focus with the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Team player with strong customer focus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent skills and capability with the Microsoft Office suite of programs Word and Excel.
  • Experience or demonstrated capability in project scheduling and planning
  • Experience in the site based delivery of major periodic maintenance or capital works projects. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an organised and well-ordered manner.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Driver's Licence - Class C  
The following will be considered advantageous, however is not a prerequisite to apply:
  • Solid experience in engineering maintenance, construction, earthworks or project management of track, civil or structures.
