Beauty Therapist & Salon Assistant / Receptionist
About the business and the role
Mermaids Beauty and Skin Clinic is now seeking a Fully Qualified Beauty Therapist as well as a Salon Assistant / Receptionist to join our salon and team.
Ideally located in Mona Vale, (Northern Beaches of Sydney) you will be working in a highly professional and friendly working environment.
Become part of a fantastic team, and work within a well-established and fast-moving salon with great clientele.
Hours: 30+ hours per week, plus option for part time if preferred (must be available to work Saturdays)
Proudly, we offer a full range of modern and traditional beauty therapy services, as well as make up services. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Beauty Therapist who has great skin knowledge who is interested in learning Laser, as well as a Salon Assistant / Receptionist who is interested in working in the Beauty Industry.
Beauty Therapist:
Who we are looking for
- Able to perform all aspects of beauty therapy including Laser therapy (training will be provided), Skin Rejuvenation and pigmentation services as well as facials, waxing and massage
- Have a passion for the beauty industry with strong interest in skin and facials
- Well- groomed and presented
- Enjoy working within a team environment
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced Salon
Skills and experience
- Minimum Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy
- Minimum 2 years recent in salon experience
- You must be willing to obtain a Laser Safety certificate
- If you have in salon experience in using Laser machinery this is a definite advantage but not essential
- Applicants with experience in retail particularly cosmetics retail are encouraged to apply
- If you have experience using our product range this is a definite advantage but not essential as training will be provided (PAYOT, Environ, A.S.A.P., Dermalogica)
- It is preferred that you reside near or in Sydney’s Northern Beaches
Salon Assistant / Receptionist:

- Well- groomed and presented
- Enjoy working within a team environment
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced Salon
- Fantastic customer service skills
- Good computer skills
