Based at Viva Energy Geelong Refinery, we currently have multiple vacancies for Permanent and Casual positions covering Industrial Protective Coating trades.
These roles will be responsible for completing daily duties conducted on site, including Surface Preparation (Grit and Ultra High Pressure Water Blasting) and Painting (incl. Manual Brush / Roller and Conventional / Airless Spray Painting). Flexibility will be required by the successful candidates and they will be required to be multi skilled and be involved in all Veolia services on site. Successful candidates must be team and customer focused, always put safety first, and be comfortable in undertaking a high volume of manual duties and completing work with minimal supervision.
Successful candidates will have the following:
- 5+ years practical Industrial Painting experience
- Trade qualifications and/or extensive experience in wide range of Industrial Coating applications and systems
- High Risk Work License (Incl. Forklift, Elevated Work Platform and Rigging / Scaffolding)
- Proven experience working within the Oil & Gas market or Major Hazard Facilities preferred
- Applicants with NACE Level 1 Inspectors qualification or greater will be highly regarded
Communication skills are a must as is a high commitment to team work and safety. You'll enjoy owning your role and taking full responsibility for your highly autonomous duties.
