IKAD Engineering is a locally owned engineering firm specialising in the marine, mining, mineral processing and oil & gas industries. We are seeking applications from suitably experienced first class welders to join our team for upcoming fabrication projects.
The successful candidates must have previous workshop experience and be able to demonstrate the following essential personal attributes and skills:
- GTAW, FCAW & STT qualified on piping & platework, carbon & stainless steel.
- Appropriate welding qualifications.
- Physically fit & enthusiastic
- A strong problem solving ability
- Ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
- The achievement of targets in the areas of safety, environment, quality and production.
- Recognised training certification in rigging, dogging and forklift is advantageous but not essential.
Preferred applicants will possess a commitment to work as a team player, be adaptable to a changing environment, have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be prepared to work overtime when required.
