- Undertake operations and maintenance of Council's sewerage pump stations.
- Assist with infiltration management programs.

The Labourer Sewer Maintenance will work collaboratively with the Water Services team to achieve the safe and efficient delivery of water and sewerage services to customers.
To be successful, you will have the ability to interpret and understand engineering plans and documentation for water and sewerage infrastructure, experience in the construction and repair of sewerage pipelines and manholes as well as sound knowledge of procedures for care and safe use of plant assigned to job sites.

More specifically, the key requirements for success include the following and these should be addressed in your selection response:
- Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual labouring tasks in tropical conditions;
- Knowledge of sewerage pump station operations, preferably experienced with inspection and non- trade maintenance activities;
- Knowledge of safe work practices and methods in water and sewerage;
- Sound communication skills;
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and Council's SafePlan safety management system;
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills;
- Working knowledge of relevant Council policies and Local Laws;
- Competence with computer/tablet technology and;
- Immunity from Hepatitis A and B.
Qualifications/ Licences:
- Current C Class Drivers licence and;
- General Safety Construction Induction Card.
It is desired that you have a Current Drivers licence, Forklift Operator ticket, Hydraulic Crane Operator ticket, Confined Space Accreditation including Breathing apparatus, Working at Heights Accreditations and Harness Appreciation training, First Aid Certificate as well as Atmospheric monitoring training.
