About Us
We are a family owned but world leading marine building business located in Mornington. We specialize in the manufacturing of commercial pilot boats. We look after our team and have lots of fun during the day whilst still working hard!
Due to our significant business growth, we are looking for an experienced Marine / Automotive Upholsterer to join our team of 75 onsite employees.
About the role
The job of Marine Upholsterer will include working on the following:
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Seaming cushions and joining sections of covering material
- Covering boat seats, cushions and internal panels (fireproofing)
Requirements
- Trade qualifications or demonstrated experience in Marine or Automotive Upholstery
- Excellent hand tool skills and machinery experience
- Ability to communicate and work well within a team environment
- Understanding of safe work practices and workplace health and safety
- Ability to work well in fast paced environments with deadlines
- A strong eye for detail with a focus on accuracy and quality first time
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
- An easy-going nature, enthusiasm and sense of humour
