About the Company:
Our client has been operating for over 30 years across heavy haulage, express delivery, transport and logistics. They currently have in excess of 600 employees working primarily in Queensland, and boast a machinery asset portfolio in excess of 700 vehicles.
About the Role:
Reporting to the workshop supervisor, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance to a large fleet of light and heavy rigid trucks, prime movers, haulers and trailers. This position will be working permanent full time hours, coupled with an on-call roster to cover any breakdowns and field service maintenance.
Duties:
- Scheduled Servicing, PM and Diagnostics of all vehicles and equipment
- Maintenance and breakdown repairs in the workshop with periodic field service call-outs
- Working in a team environment focused on quality workmanship
- Adhering to workshop safety guidelines and policies
Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualified heavy vehicle mechanic (Certificate 3)
- Minimum 2+ years post trade experience
- Minimum HR driver's licence (MC preferred)
- Proactive approach to safety and compliance
- Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills
- High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) - desirable
- Previous experience within heavy road transport maintenance
