Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Our client is a locally owned and operated Plant and Vehicle Maintenance service with over 30 years’ industry experience. Our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to help support the growing business in a full time permanent position within the Newcastle area.
The Role
The duties will include:
- Working on Trucks and Plant Equipment
- Fault Finding / Repairs / Diagnostics
- Maintenance / Overhauls / Servicing
- Trouble Shooting
To be successful in the role you must have:
- A current HR (heavy rigid) licence, or a HC (heavy combination) licence will be highly desirable
- Relevant trades qualifications
- Be able to maintain records
- Previous experience working on trucks & plant equipment
- Fleet experience highly desirable
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Strong work ethic
- Must pass a drug & alcohol (including on site random testing)
- Have own transport to be able to access site
