The Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for a range of engine and mechanical tests to diagnose, repair and service Mazda vehicles.
This role offers you the chance to work in a large, clean and modern workshop. Our technicians enjoy ongoing, regular manufacturer and in-house training, as well as access to up to the minute online data to ensure they remain experts in their field.
DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- Providing expert advice about the mechanical condition of vehicles
- Accreditation at a Diagnostic Tech level
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with a variety of vehicles
- Working closely with Technical Field Managers on complex problems
- Repairing mechanical parts of vehicles such as engine, transmission & suspension systems
- Providing guidance to apprentice technicians
- Test driving & conducting quality assurance inspections
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of Certificate 3 Automotive Light Vehicle
- Diagnostic Tech level of training
- Have strong knowledge of technical tools
- Have an understanding of automotive manufacturer processes
- Experience in Hybrid repairs (desirable)
- Experience with all necessary aspects of vehicle mechanisms and systems
- Engine, drive train, chassis & electrical experience
- Strong diagnostic skills & attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Current manual driver's license
- Toyota experience is advantageous
