THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled HV Electrical Field Service Technician / HV Cable Terminator to join our Field Services team based in Tomago. The role involves hands on Low and High Voltage electrical work responsibilities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be an integral customer interface and driving force in the provision of varied electrical services and projects in the greater NSW region. You must have experience in HV and LV maintenance and minor works with proven capability and qualifications in HV cable installation, jointing, termination and testing. The successful applicants will become part of a highly skilled team of technicians working on regular service sites and projects throughout NSW.

Your willingness to get hands on in offering electrical service, testing, repair, installation and commissioning services will be complemented by the following:

• Safety as a core value
• The ability to travel for work where required
• Experience with High Voltage cable terminating, jointing, repairs & testing
• The ability to manage and work within a multidisciplinary High Voltage service team
• A commitment to providing exceptional client and customer service
• Service experience in the electrical trades/technical roles
• Experience with High Voltage switchyard and substation maintenance, minor works & upgrades
• A strong understanding of the mining, utility networks & industrial sectors
• An ability to develop skills and competencies required to meet our customer's needs
• Current Driver's license

DESIRABLE

• Experience with High Voltage transformer maintenance & testing
• Experience with Electrical Protection Testing hardware / software
• Experience with HV Switching
• Heavy Vehicle License
• Forklift License

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Electrical trade qualifications
• HV switching ticket – desirable
• Cable Terminator/Jointer Qualifications
• Current LVR & CPR Training
