A very well known and reputable international marine manufacturing company is seeking an additional Marine Technician to join them on a full time permanent basis at their eastern operations.
Offering modern facilities and a very well maintained workshop to carry out the work in a very happy environment.
Due to promotion there is an opportunity for a qualified Technician to join them and become involved with helping to liaise and work with a long list of dealers.
Requirement:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be involved with, but not limited to:
- Workflow of conversions, carrying out reworks and engine repairs.
- Knowledge of repair and servicing of Sterndrive and Outboard Engines.
- Product development and testing.
- Maintaining and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the workshop at all times.
- Working with dealerships.
- Assisting with the training of apprentices.
- Handling all technical enquiries from clients and dealers as required.
- Looking after spare parts and accessories.
- Assisting with service schools and dealer technician training.
- Diagnosing and analysing service problems; working independently or within a team.
- Maintenance, repair and diagnostic testing of marine engines.
- Being customer focused.
Qualifications/ Experience
- High School Graduate.
- Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology.
- Trade qualified as a Marine Technician, Diesel Technician or Automotive Technician with exposure to marine systems/engines and diesel products relating to the marine world.
- 1-2 years' post-trade qualifications in a service environment, ideally dealership experience.
- Full clean driver's and boat licence ideal.
