PolyPipe is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of Polyethylene (PE) pipe systems and solutions for the transmission of data, water, gas, waste and energy. 

Located in Toronto, NSW, Australia, PolyPipe has a modern extrusion and purpose built manufacturing facility fitted with the latest computerised equipment and technology.

We are currently recruiting a trade qualified, Plant Electrician to join our busy production facility.  The main objective of the role is to maintain and repair plant equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations with a focus on improving the efficiency, productivity and profitability of the plant.

The successful applicant will be:

• Experienced in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.  This includes lighting, power control, data, fault finding, electronic repairs, etc.
• Conversant with variable speed controllers for AC and DC motors.
• Experience in power distribution and power factor correction.
• Compliant with Environment, Health & Safety and Quality policies.
• Understanding of AS3000 and AS3007.
• Able to promote and maintain positive relationships with production, maintenance and management and liaise with supervisors to ensure that all equipment is safe and efficient to operate.
• Manufacturing process experience.
• Able to read electrical schematics / drawings.
• Analytical, Process and Continuous Improvement focused (Lean).

The successful candidate will ideally have 5 plus years' electrical trades experience in a heavy industrial and/or commercial setting and significant post trade experience in heavy industrial plant electrical fitting, cable installation and electrical maintenance.
