ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a full time Corporate Security Manager, based in the heart of Melbourne CBD. The role will directly manage the corporate security team in Victoria and assist with managing security services in state office locations around the country.  

This is a vital role within a National Key Account portfolio, in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will provide visible leadership, direction and issue resolution at all levels of service; ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness are maintained at a consistent level.  The role may require infrequent travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Achieving Security, Safety and Risk Management objectives across a diverse service delivery;
  • Ensuring a consistent, efficient and compliant service delivery is maintained at all times;
  • Providing exceptional levels of stakeholder and client engagement at all levels of contract;
  • Managing incident management and investigations processes where relevant;
  • Managing contractual performance in accordance with KPI / SLA and budgetary requirements;
  • Providing expert advice and recommendation on Security, HSE and compliance related activities;
  • Providing effective team management and leadership across a diverse and dispersed workforce.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE

  • A people focused and customer driven attitude;
  • Experience working in a dynamic corporate environment;
  • Experience with electronic and physical security systems;
  • Experience with control room operations
  • Experience with fire panels and emergency management planning and coordination;
  • Experience with event security planning and management
  • A strong knowledge of relevant industry awards and labour agreements;
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • The ability to take manage time and tasks effectively in a dynamic environment;
  • The ability to manage a small to medium sized team, across a 24/7 roster;

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Min. Certificate IV in Security Risk Management;
  • Min. 10 years' general security experience;
  • Min. 5 years' corporate security management experience;
  • Demonstrated experience managing Blue-Chip / National clients
  • Current Victorian Security Licence;
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence;
  • Current First Aid Certificate (min. Level II)
  • Current Police Check, or the ability to obtain one;
