G & J East (Strathalbyn) is a multi franchised farm machinery dealership located in Strathalbyn, South Australia.
This business is ideally situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula, approximately an hours drive south east of Adelaide in South Australia. We have access to both the McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek Wine regions in addition to supplying equipment to the surrounding lifestyle, broadacre and dairy industries.
G & J East (Strathalbyn) aim to provide a full range of mechanised products to all our clients along with the expertise to install, service and backup this equipment with highly skilled mechanics and an extensive range of spare parts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with Agricultural experience and excellent mechanical and technical knowledge. Our service team requires an experienced mechanic with proven ability to work with a range of agricultural machines according to stringent best-practice standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience maintaining diesel equipment (preferably with an agricultural background)
- Experience working in either a workshop or onsite.
- Excellent diagnostic skills both using computer systems and visually.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong ability to be a self-starter and get the job done.
- You will be responsible for all servicing and maintenance including, scheduled maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Previous experience with caterpillar engines beneficial.
