HD FITTER – Mobile & Fixed Plant

Our Client has a vacancy for an experienced HD Fitter – Mobile and Fixed Plant to work with them on a PERMANENT basis.  Being a well-respected Local Council situated North of Perth – this is great opportunity to become a valued member of their Operations Team and add value to this close-knit community.
 
 
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
 

• Manage Plant and Equipment Maintenance Schedules;
• Complete daily plant schedule of maintenance register;
• Review and action daily pre start sheets for all plant and equipment;
• Assist with plant specification and with plant tender evaluation;
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge;
• Ability to repair and maintain a wide range of mobile and stationary equipment;
• Sound knowledge of plant and machinery;
• Ability to operate required tools in a safe and responsible manner;
• Sound problem solving and decision making skills;
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical information, policies, reports and procedures of legislative requirements;
• Ability to prioritise workloads within tight timelines. 

 
ESSENTIAL LICENSES/QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• Automotive Engineer Accreditation;
• Current HR Driver’s License;
• Diesel fitter accreditation;
• Verification of Competency to operate heavy plant equipment.
