Toll People is looking for a Trade Assistant to join a team of Mechanical Technicians based at Richmond.
Our client is a leading South Australian owned manufacturer and direct importer of industrial equipment including high pressure water cleaners, drain cleaning machines, wine barrel cleaners and heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaners.
The successful applicant will join an existing team of technicians that will provide support and on the job training allowing you to gain the experience required to the job requirement.
You will be responsible for
• Assisting trade qualified technicians
• Use of hand and power tools
• General labouring and maintenance work
• General housekeeping duties
• Reporting to lead technicians and following instructions
• Completing allocated work according to schedule and safely

To be successful in this role you will have
• Electrical technician or a trade background is highly desirable
• Knowledge of engines, pump systems, hydraulics or electrical may be an advantage
• Mechanical aptitude
• Tool experience
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Recent and consistent employment history within a similar position
• Experience in performing continuous labour intense manual handling
• Current drivers licence
• Able to work in a team environment as well as unsupervised
