It provides a range of services on petrol and diesel vehicles, general servicing and electrical repairs. It aims to provide only the best services to its clients. The business is looking for an enthusiastic and skilful individual who can contribute and take the business to its maximum potential.
Duties & Responsibilities
- detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
- dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
- testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
- may inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
- may respond to vehicle breakdown service calls
Salary: in the range of 50k to 60k depending on the qualifications and experience
Location: North Geelong
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Certificate III in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
- Certificate IV and Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
- Minimum of two years’ experience
- Good command in communication (writing & speaking)
- Clean driving License
Qualifications and Experience desirable
- Some qualification in management is preferred
- Willingness to specialise in diesel cars
- Willingness to specialise in LPG cars
- Willingness to specialise in European cars
- Experience in interacting with clients of diverse background
- HV License preferred
- Experience in European cars
