About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Security Manager is responsible for leading the team of Hospital Security Officers on site by providing leadership and direction to control the delivery of high quality customer service. In addition, the position is a vital conduit for information between the client and site employees in a hospital environment. You will be required to:

  • Take ownership of the site operation and performance by ensuring contractual obligations are met at all times
  • Identify and raise with management any opportunities to improve systems, processes and provide quality service
  • Complete daily administration of all Security staff, including supervision and performance of duties
  • Understand and have full knowledge of control desk systems, Security orders, Emergency evacuation and planning procedures
  • Maintain Security personnel registers
  • Maintain the fortnightly roster, timesheets and assisting with pay queries
  • Monitor the environment and prioritise Health and Safety
  • Maintain relationships with employees by conducting regular Tool box talks, facilitate inductions, develop staff and manage staff performance
  • Provide Security responses in a corrective manner including alarm investigations and preparing accurate reports

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Efficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years Security Supervisor or Management experience 
  • Experience with fire panels
  • A strong Customer Service Focus
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Initiative and the ability to multi- task
  • Ability to problem solve and work well in a team environment
  • Solid experience in a similar supervisory role with strong Security background

As a requirement of the position the successful candidate will have:

  • A current and valid Victorian Security Licence
  • Certificate IV in Risk Management (preferred)
  • Certificate IV Assessment and Training (preferred)
  • Diploma of Management (highly desirably
  • Current Working With Children's Check (employment)
  • A current Victorian Security Licence
  • A current First Aid Experience
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • All shortlisted candidates must be willing to undergo and pass a CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK & PRE & EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL.
