A vacancy exists for an experienced and enthusiastic General Hand to join our Facility Services team working across the Northern NSW including Alstonville and surrounding areas. The position is casual with hours offered across Monday to Friday. This team is responsible in maintaining high quality standards of ground lawn maintenance and cleaning in various locations along the North Coast region.
If you enjoy working outdoors, have good awareness of Workplace, Health and Safety and are willing to make a positive contribution to the team - this could be the job for you.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience within the landscape maintenance and/or horticultural industry
- Demonstrated experience in using plant/equipment to complete garden and lawn maintenance e.g. ride on mowers, push mowers, lines trimers, pruners
- Demonstrated experience or willingness to complete commercial cleaning e.g. public amenities, window cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, general cleaning duties
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent customer service
- Effective communication skills with other staff, customers and contractors
- Ability to follow supervisor work instructions and prioritise work tasks in a timely manner
- Awareness of the House with No Steps Vision, Purpose and Values
- Understanding and empathy towards other people
- Good understanding of Workplace, Health and Safety requirements
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or be entitled to work in Australia
Desirable Criteria:
- WHS Induction Card
- Experience in using commercial mowing equipment
