Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
We are building a team of Exp Diesel Tech’s to carry out maintenance work on various projects and client sites…$75,000 + Super + Laundry
Programmed Skilled Workforce are looking to recruit Diesel Mechanics to form part of our newly established PSW Maintenance Team.
Ongoing Projects throughout Melbourne’s Western & Northern suburbs are available for experienced candidates.
The tasks are to work on heavy commercial vehicles performing a range of service, repair and diagnostic procedures including engines, transmissions, final drive assemblies, brakes, steering and suspension, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts
- Reassemble mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- Reassemble engines and parts after being repaired
- Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- Diagnose and test parts
- May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
The successful candidate will;
- Hold a current Driver’s licence (HR Licence Desirable)

Due to location of some projects all successful candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical and willing and able to pass a background check
