Hofmann Engineering in Newcastle is seeking to fill the position of an experienced Trades Assistant.
The successful applicant will have the following skills & experience:
- Be highly motivated
- Adhere to the Hofmann Safety Management System & other related policies
- Provide efficient and timely assistance to the team of tradespeople
- Contribute to a culture committed to continuous improvement
- Have a practical ability with a good aptitude to carry out a variety of work, including cleaning of machinery & our manufacturing facility
- Be able to work as part of a team and alone
- Takes pride in the quality of their work, attention to detail and is focused on results
- Painting & Surface Preparation knowledge/experience
- Have building maintenance experience
- General Engineering skills, welding/grinding, fitting tasks
- Ability to work varied rosters including weekends
- Mechanical trade background, including ability to read & interpret technical drawings, would be advantageous but not essential
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Rigging Ticket
- Dogman's Ticket
- Forklift & Crane Ticket
- First aid Ticket
- Confined Space Ticket
- Working At heights Ticket
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the continuing expansion of the Hofmann Newcastle Facility. This role will demand flexibility and a "can-do" attitude. Additional skills and qualifications will be highly regarded. Training in workplace safety will be an ongoing process.
