Our site
Anthony Lagoon is situated approximately 440km north east from its nearest town, Tennant Creek. It is set in the hub of the Northern Territory’s Barkly Tablelands on the historic Stock Route.
Duties & responsibilities
- Responsible for leading water maintenance team
- Observation & maintenance of watering points
- Travelling between water points in a 4WD vehicle / MR Truck
- 4WD Vehicle/truck and tools provided on site for daily work duties
- Maintenance of 4WD/ vehicle and bore truck, crane, slings and spare parts
- Operation of Non-slewing Mobile Crane – (licence testing can be made available when on site)
- Weekly maintenance of bores across the cattle station
- Maintenance of Mono pump systems
- Solar bore pump systems maintenance
- Generator knowledge
- Maintenance of troughs and keeping a log of water points
- Reporting any issues back to the Station Manager
- Assisting elsewhere on the property if required
- Keep records of maintenance and parts for each bore
- Maintain spare parts inventory
- Perform your job in a safe manner in line with AACo safety programs and procedures
- Take responsibility for your safe work behaviour
Requirements
- Current manual drivers Licence
- MR Licence (licence testing can be made available when on site)
- Non-slewing Mobile Crane licence ((licence testing can be made available when on site)
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential as training will be provided for this role
- Mechanical knowledge and experience desirable
- Good communication skills
- High level of organisational skills to co-ordinate a daily and weekly work schedule
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team

Physical Demands
- You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull from 10–20kilo’s and occasionally more.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment
- This job requires the ability to comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and memos, and to communicate clearly with your co-workers and supervisors.
